
Assistant Basketball Coach Responsibilities: This lead assistant position includes recruitment of prospective student-athletes, use of recruiting software, scouting/video breakdown and assisting in game plan development, assist with all aspects of practice and game preparation as assigned by the head coach, and assist in monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress. Other duties as assigned by head coach.
Athletics Operations Assistant Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to, assist the Director of Athletics with specific sport game day operations and concessions, select student employee supervision, transportation, and fundraising activities.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (required); a master’s degree is preferred. Also required are previous coaching experience (collegiate preferred); a clear understanding of NCAA III philosophy and the student-athlete experience; ability to recruit in Indiana and contiguous states; ability to work as a part of a team environment; a demonstrated commitment to the Anderson University mission and Christian lifestyle. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate with a diverse student body, faculty and staff, effective problem solving skills and personal initiative.
Benefits: This a 12-month position qualifying for full-time benefits.
