
This position will facilitate and advance the efficient operation of The Big 12 Conference office’s information technology. The ideal candidate has a high level of technology knowledge and skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Serve as primary liaison with third party IT contractors and negotiate service level agreements.
• Advise, implement, train and manage in areas of technology, software and computer services.
• Manage and maintain Big 12 digital content library and copyright of athletic events.
• Development and oversee technology budget and manage IT procurement for conference.
• Lead, procure and implement technology initiatives to ensure conference office operates at high level.
• Develop and implement AI initiatives for the conference as well as policies and procedures using industry best practices
• Coordinate technology onboarding and equipment setup for new hires.
• Manage the Replay Operations Center (ROC) and lead upgrade implementation as necessary.
• Oversee DVSport 360 application and advise officials on best practices.
• Leverage position to learn how technology investments impact financial forecasting and workforce productivity across the Conference.
• Serve as the primary liaison between conference and replay technicians on campus.
• Edit and distribute weekly football officials training videos.
• Maintain accurate technology/equipment inventory.
• Set up and maintain equipment needed for meetings and meeting rooms.
• Provide support as necessary for video replay operations for events/championships.
• Additional duties, as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• 3-5 Years of progressive experience in IT or related field
• Experience in the sports video or technology field is required.
• Experience implementing AI initiatives in the workplace
• Experience with Windows OS and MAC OS is required.
• Must have strong computer skills in Office365, Acrobat and other software.
• Knowledge of DVSport replay software is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, leadership skills, and creative thinking abilities.
• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field required
• 5+ Years relevant work experience can be used in lieu of education requirement
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office environment. Frequent sitting, standing, walking bending, listening, speaking, and use of office equipment. Some requirements for lifting, pushing, or pulling items less than 30 pounds. Ability to work long non-standard hours, including holidays, nights, weekends, game days or other event dates.
