
Caldwell University invites applications for a full-time Head Women’s Soccer Coach/Assistant Director, Athletics. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President and Director, Athletics, the Assistant Director/Coach. Administrative responsibilities will be assigned by the Assistant Vice President and will include scheduling of programming, officials, travel and transportation for athletic events. Coaching responsibilities will provide direction for planning, recruiting, budgeting, organizing and maintaining a well-balanced, competitive, and successful NCAA Division II Women’s soccer program . Job duties include, but are not limited to;
Work with the Assistant Vice President, Athletics in the administration of the Athletics Department
Administer and supervise home athletic events and contests. Ensure staffing and the facility have been adequately prepared for events. Deal directly with all officials and event personnel.
Develop the department master travel and transportation schedule. Secure transportation for student-athletes. Schedule meals
Advise staff and team of CACC and NCAA rules and policies as interpreted by the NCAA and directed by the University administration. Ensure the program is in compliance with rules, regulations, and policies. Handle all athletic programs paperwork for medical and NCAA requirements
Responsible for the development and execution of team philosophy. Communicate and integrate the mission of the University and the Philosophy of the Athletic Department within the program.
Supervise all games, scrimmages, and practices.
Responsible for recruitment of prospective student-athletes and recommendation of students to receive athletic grants and aid scholarships.
Direct, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches. Keep accurate records of all working hours, and submit weekly time sheets for the entire coaching staff.
Work with the compliance office to maintain accurate academic, recruiting, financial, practice, expense, and meal records. Complete all required forms as necessary.
Scout opponents when applicable.
Supply Director, Athletic Media Relations with all necessary information regarding team and individual student athletes.
Bachelor’s degree plus one to two years of effective experience in coaching soccer is required. Master’s degree and collegiate coaching experience is preferred. Must maintain current/active certification in CPR and First Aid/AED. Must be knowledgeable of the NCAA I I rules & regulations, including recruiting knowledge (must pass annual NCAA Rules Test). Must have a valid driver’s license and be available to work evenings/weekends as needed. The successful candidate will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong management and organizational skills.
