Athletic Equipment Services Coordinator

  • Receive and issue athletic apparel and supplies for Olympic sports

  • Determine equipment needs and specifications, make budget recommendations, research products, meet with manufacturer representatives and vendors, and initiate paperwork to purchase athletic equipment in order to maintain adequate inventory levels for Olympic sports

  • Assist with equipment room maintenance, cleanliness and organization.

  • Assist with monitoring laundry room supplies to ensure supply stock of soap, disinfectant, scents, stain fighters are maintained and does not run out.  Perform laundry services to meet team needs; wash, dry, fold/hang, store, inventory and distribute athletic apparel. Coordinate the reconditioning and repair of athletic apparel for Olympic sports

  • Use inventory control system, Front Rush, to assist with the monitoring of inventory and issuance of equipment.

  • Assist with management of embellishment of apparel in accordance with University and Athletic branding guidelines.  

  • Assist with overseeing hiring and the daily activity of student employees.

  • Communicate with facilities on facility issues in locker rooms, practice fields, equipment room, etc.

  • Organize locker room needs for both Cal Poly student-athletes and visiting team athletes for Olympic sports

  • Pack, load, unload and set up equipment and supplies for team trips.

  • Continuously update sports on their orders, delivery timelines, inventory and maintenance issues

  • Keep abreast of current NCAA rules and regulations regarding equipment and enforce as such.
