
Under general supervision, assists with and gains NCAA Division I experience in an intercollegiate sports performance program developing and coordinating strength and conditioning programs. Trains student-athletes in physical strength and conditioning techniques, with primary focus on injury prevention and maximizing competitive performance. Communicates and works with sport coaches, sports medicine staff and others in the athletics department. Performs a variety of tasks assigned by a designated supervisor. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in exercise science, kinesiology, sport science or sport performance, athletic training or related field.
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) certification already achieved or registered to take examination within 1 year of start.
Ability to work early in the mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Preferred Qualificiations:
Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules.
Experience in a high school, collegiate, or professional athletics weight room.
Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field.
