The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach assists in the administration, development, and promotion of a competitive NCAA Division II women’s soccer program while supporting the mission, values, and strategic goals of Coker University.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Head Women’s Soccer Coach with the organization and operation of the women’s soccer program
Identify, evaluate, and recruit qualified prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies
Assist with planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and competitive contests
Support the academic success, personal development, and well-being of student-athletes
Assist with scouting, video analysis, game preparation, and performance evaluation
Assist with team travel arrangements, equipment management, and administrative tasks
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations
Represent Coker University and the Department of Athletics in a professional and positive manner
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate or high school level
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes
Preferred Qualifications
Collegiate coaching experience, preferably at the NCAA Division II level
Recruiting experience at the collegiate level
Master’s degree
Experience with recruiting databases and video technology
Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance standards
