
Coker University is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Goalkeeping Coach. This is a Graduate Assistant position within the Department of Athletics reporting directly to the men’s and women’s head soccer coaches.
The GA goalkeeping coach assists in the administration, development, and promotion of a competitive NCAA Division II men’s and women’s soccer program while supporting the mission, values, and strategic goals of Coker University.
Plan, organize, and conduct daily training sessions specifically designed for goalkeepers.
Develop and implement drills to improve technique, tactical awareness, physical conditioning, and mental strength of goalkeepers.
Provide individual coaching and feedback to goalkeepers.
Evaluate goalkeeper performance during training and games.
Assist in the development of game plans and strategies related to goalkeeping.
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations
Represent Coker University and the Department of Athletics in a professional and positive manner
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Vice President of Athletics
Bachelor’s degree required
Admission into a Coker graduate program
Coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes
Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
CPR certification
Ability to pass a background check.
Must be a US Citizen
Collegiate coaching experience, preferably at the NCAA Division II level
Recruiting experience at the collegiate level
Master’s degree
Experience with recruiting databases and video technology
Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance standards
