Position Description: 

Collegiate Sports Connect is looking for a part-time Data Quality Specialist to join our team. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that our data remains the most current and accurate in the industry. The Data Quality Specialist will conduct regular audits of Connect databases and user profiles; track personnel changes across intercollegiate athletics; investigate and address any data discrepancies/inconsistencies; and assist with requesting and entering FOIA-related data.

As Collegiate Sports Connect continues to grow, this position has the potential to develop into a larger role with expanded responsibilities. This fully remote position is ideal for an individual who thrives in detail‑oriented, process‑driven work and is passionate about shaping the future of the intercollegiate athletics industry.

 

LocationFully remote

SalaryThis is an hourly position that will pay $20/hour.

HoursThe hours are flexible (estimated to be 20-30 hours per week).

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform regular updates and audits of Connect database and user profiles to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Accurately enter public professional data on individuals working in collegiate athletics.
  • Collaborate with the Connect team to think critically, troubleshoot issues, and develop strategies that strengthen Connect’s data operations.
  • Supplement FOIA responses with additional publicly available information.
  • Assist with producing and responding to FOIA correspondence for 235 public Division I institutions.
  • Monitor employment changes for administrators at all 360+ DI institutions.
  • Participate in several weekly virtual team meetings to provide updates on auditing progress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Connect’s broader data initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
  • Comfort working in a remote, fast‑paced, process‑driven environment
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple requests simultaneously
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable using spreadsheets, cloud storage, and internal tracking systems

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in data entry, data auditing, or database maintenance
  • Ability to analyze inconsistencies in data and recommend process improvements
  • Background in collegiate athletics, sports information, or data‑related roles within athletic departments
