Women's Soccer Graduate Assistant Coach

Position Overview:

The Part-Time Assistant Coach will assist the Head Women’s Soccer Coach with all aspects of the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer program. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive team environment, promoting appropriate behavior, and ensuring sportsmanship among team members. This position will include an $18,000 pay towards tuition/fees and housing with a start date of August 1st, 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Head Coach with NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Program:

    • Assist with recruiting.

      • Plan and coordinate travel arrangements (meals, hotels, transportation).

        • Collaborate with the Head Coach on strategy and program development.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

    • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.

      • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.

    Expectations, Certifications, and Education:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

    • Experience:

      • 0-2 years of soccer coaching experience, or at least 3 years of college soccer experience.

    Certifications:

    • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

    • Skills:

      • Strong technical knowledge of swimming techniques and training programs.

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with athletes, parents, and staff.

      • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

      • Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.

      • Strong interpersonal, motivational, and team leadership skills.

      Physical Requirements:

      • Physical Demands:

      • Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and reaching.

      • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

      • Work Environment:

      • Work is performed in both an office environment and at sports venues.

      • Work is performed during standard business hours, as well as evenings and weekends to meet the program’s needs.

      • Extensive travel required for meets and competitions.

      • Ability to meet University fleet requirements and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserve the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.

      Compensation and Duration:

      • Part Time Position - $18,000 from August – July

      • Pay will go towards tuition/fees and housing. With the start date of August 1st, 2026.

Summary:

CSU Pueblo invites applications and nominations for the part-time position of assistant women's soccer coach. Reporting to the head women's soccer coach, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach with the organization, supervision, and administration of an NCAA Division II intercollegiate women's soccer program. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation/management, compliance, equipment management, and commitment to student-athletes' academic progress and degree completion.
