
The following candidate will assist the Events & Facilities staff in the areas below.
- Learn to prioritize and organize workflows for efficient daily Athletic team set up and tear down. (sporting events, practices, commencement etc.)
- Provide on-site support during collegiate athletic events, tournaments, and practices to troubleshoot facility issues and ensure a positive experience for athletes, staff, and fans.
- Assist with changeover of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences rooms, and events.
- Install audio-visual equipment, including PA systems and scoreboards.
- Set up signage, banners, and branding for events, including sponsor and university materials.
- Learn to operate side-by-side to pull sweeper for all turf surfaces at Athletic Facilities.
- Attend staff meetings and other administrative meetings as necessary to learn about the scheduling and communication necessary to run facilities and events.
- Support crowd management by ensuring pathways, exits, and seating areas are safe and accessible.
- Learn to operate and maintain power equipment and hand tools: floor auto scrubbers, carpet extractors, high pressure washers, high speed floor buffer and vacuums.
- Learn tools, materials and methods used in general athletic facility repairs and maintenance, including power equipment and lifts.
- Gain exposure on the safe and efficient operation of an indoor pool (chemistry, testing, etc.).
- Perform cleaning and related activities, including removing snow or debris from sidewalks and outside grounds.
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the athletic department and events.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a sports related field from an accredited University
Application Deadline: Review of the applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The position will be offered under contingency of acceptance from the graduate office.
Term: 10-month appointment
Stipend: $600/month for 10-month appointment, additional paid opportunities possible.
Tuition Assistance: 9 Graduate hours/semester in Fall and Spring.
Housing and Meals: On-campus housing and dining possible.
Hours: (Primarily) Monday – Friday around office and class hours, along with some weekend hours required.
