Head Women's Lacrosse Coach

Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a full-time, exempt Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach to be responsible for the overall success, performance, and conduct of the FSU Bobcat Women's Lacrosse program. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an anticipated range of $63,000 - $68,000. Position includes the robust University System of Maryland benefits package, which is comprised of annual, personal, and sick leave, holidays, tuition remission, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, and retirement plans.

 

FSU boasts 25 varsity sports (11 men/14 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference.

 

Responsibilities: Administer the women’s lacrosse program in compliance with all University System of Maryland, Frostburg State University, NCAA, and conference policies and procedures. The Head Coach is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of the program, including practice planning, game-day operations, recruiting, budget oversight, and the academic support and mentorship of student-athletes. This position supervises assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and student employees as applicable. The Head Coach will also promote the program through public relations efforts and by cultivating relationships with alumni and supporters. Additional duties may be assigned. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to the department’s philosophy and a collaborative work environment.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. At least 2-3 years of coaching experience at the high school level or 1 year of coaching experience at the collegiate level. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Proven ability to recruit student-athletes.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. Experience at the collegiate level.
