
Hopkins Athletics is multidivisional department with 22 programs competing at the NCAA DIII level and two programs (men’s and women’s lacrosse) competing at the NCAA Division I level (BIG 10 Conference). The department also hosts a variety of robust recreational activities such as club sports, intramurals, and fitness programming.
The Hopkins Athletics department seeks an innovative and forward-thinking Assistant Football Coach for the position of Defensive Coach & Recruiting Coordinator. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all teaching/development/individual work for position group (DL).
Defensive Line Coach will do all film breakdowns to get tendencies from opponent and make scouting reports weekly for opponent.
Run meetings daily for all Defensive Line players.
Will coordinate all recruiting efforts both on and off campus including but not limited to recruiting showcases/camps, identifying prospective scholar-athletes, and retention once they are at JHU
All other duties assigned by Head Coach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Prior experience recruiting at a high academic institution preferred
Must have the ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday work which is required.
Travel is also required. A valid drivers’ license and ability to drive a vehicle is required.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
The Assistant Football Coach/Defensive Line Coach & Recruiting Coordinator is directly supervised by the Head Football Coach. This position has significant interactions with faculty and staff, students, alumni, and other outside constituencies.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
