Job Description
Under the supervision of the Deputy Athletics Director for Administration and Director of Athletics Internal Operations the graduate assistant will assist with running intercollegiate games for assigned sporting events, assist with various athletics facility maintenance and special projects.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Serve as the event manager for assigned sports.
Set-up and breakdown for all athletic events and other special events.
Ensure compliance with the NCAA, conference and university policies throughout the event.
Coordinate operational logistics with the various units of the athletic department, coaches, visiting teams and officials.
Assist in the planning and execution of all athletic events including game day operations and logistics.
Assist with facility maintenance to ensure the facility is operational for all home events and work orders.
Work on special projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment and Expectations
Evening, weekend, holiday work is required.

Required Qualifications
Must be accepted and enrolled in the Longwood MBA program.
Interested in working in athletic event management.
Previous experience working athletic events and facility maintenance is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Information
This is a two-year position designed for candidates pursuing a Master of Business Administration. The role provides full tuition coverage for the Longwood MBA program (excluding textbooks) and a stipend.
