JOB SUMMARY
The Compliance Coordinator Graduate Assistant reports to the Compliance Officer and assists with the day-to-day administration of NCAA compliance operations for 14 NCAA Division II athletic programs. This position provides valuable, hands-on experience in compliance, eligibility certification, and rules education within a collegiate athletics setting.
MAJOR DUTIES
Assist in monitoring compliance with NCAA, MIAA, and institutional rules and regulations.
Maintain accurate records related to eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, and playing and practice seasons.
Support the certification of initial, transfer, and continuing eligibility for student-athletes.
Assist with tracking recruiting activities and maintaining required documentation.
Help prepare NCAA and conference reports.
Assist in developing and delivering rules education for coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
Monitor countable athletically related activities (CARA) logs and other compliance systems.
Support audits and reviews of compliance documentation and processes.
Assist with National Letter of Intent (NLI) and scholarship tracking processes.
Maintain confidentiality of compliance-related information.
Follow and abide by all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Assist with assigned gameday support.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
Basic understanding of NCAA rules and compliance operations.
Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
Ability to manage and track detailed records and data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed in an office environment with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree
Admission to a graduate program at Northeastern State University
Strong organizational and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in athletics compliance (student worker, intern, or GA)
Familiarity with NCAA Division II rules and compliance software (ARMS, Teamworks, etc.)
Compensation includes tuition waiver for graduate classes, on-campus housing waiver, and a monthly stipend.
