JOB SUMMARY
The Events & Facilities Coordinator reports to the Director of Athletics while working collaboratively with athletics staff, facilities management, and external partners. This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of home athletic events and the day-to-day operations of athletics facilities supporting 14 NCAA Division II programs.
MAJOR DUTIES
Coordinate and execute all home athletic events, including game day operations, staffing, and logistics.
Develop and manage event scripts, timelines, and staffing plans.
Coordinate with officials, visiting teams, and game day personnel.
Oversee facility scheduling for practices, competitions, and external use.
Ensure athletic facilities are properly set up, maintained, and secured for events and daily use.
Serve as primary liaison with campus facilities, housekeeping, and game operations staff.
Assist with purchasing and inventory of event and facility equipment.
Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional game management policies.
Assist with special events such as tournaments, camps, banquets, and community events.
Support risk management and safety protocols for all athletic venues.
Provide supervision of event staff, student workers, and game day personnel.
Follow and abide by all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
Knowledge of athletic event management and facility operations.

Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is performed in office settings, athletic facilities, and outdoor venues. The position requires standing, walking, lifting equipment, and working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Supervises student workers, event staff, and game day personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in event management, athletics operations, or facilities (internship, GA, or full-time)
Strong organizational and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree
Experience working in collegiate athletics or large-scale event operations
Familiarity with NCAA game management standards
Annual salary $41,000.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
Projected start date June 1, 2026
