
Old Dominion University is seeking an Assistant Director of Sports Performance. The primary responsibility of this position will be the design and implementation of the strength and conditioning programs for ODU Women’s Basketball and other assigned sports. Working nights, weekends and travel are required. Additionally, this position will assist in the oversight of the Jim Jarrett Athletic Administration Building Weight Room.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with experience equivalent to Master's degree.
Certification through a nationally recognized strength and conditioning organization. SCCC (CSCCa) or NSCA (CSCS).
Experience working NCAA athletics in strength and conditioning/sports performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Either the master’s or bachelor’s degree is in a sports science related field.
USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach.
Experience working with NCAA Division I basketball.
Experience working with NCAA Division I tennis.
Proven leadership skills with diverse populations.
