TICKETING AND ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS FOR FOOTBALL:  FOOTBALL:  

Responsible for management control of all tickets and of all accounting functions for football.  This includes ticket application design, creating sports/seasons using the ticketing software, online ticket set-up, assigning seats and overseeing game day operations for football and its ancillary events.‎ Responsibility for updating and maintaining applicable ticket information on Purdue Sports website.  Manage the accounting functions includes reconciling accounts to prepare for biannual‎ audits, closing out seasons, assisting in preparation of Big Ten settlement reports, recording/billing areas on campus for tickets and working with Internal Audit staff to assist in their reporting. Manage box office on game day and handle all issues.  Manage all internal staff request for tickets for: recruits, players, visiting team, etc.  Travel with team to handle coach, player and donor ticket needs.  Manage all ticket operations needs for bowl game appearances.  Participate in the formulation of departmental policies, procedures, and objectives governing the distribution of ‎tickets to athletic events, in compliance with NCAA, Big Ten and University rules. This position is responsible for the maintenance and use of the CRM system used across multiple departments within Athletics.  Also responsible for maintaining the software used for player and recruit complimentary tickets. Football ticketing is a year-round responsibility beginning at the end of the current season in December gearing up for the next fall season.

Responsible for management control of tickets and accounting functions for other sports.  This includes ticket application design, creating sports/seasons using the ticketing software, online ticket set-up, assigning seats and overseeing game day operations for other sports.‎ Responsibility for updating and maintaining applicable ticket information on Purdue Sports website.  Manage the accounting functions includes reconciling accounts to prepare for audits, closing out seasons, assisting in preparation of Big Ten settlement reports, recording/billing areas on campus for tickets and working with Internal Audit staff to assist in their reporting. Oversee box office on game day and handle all issues.  Oversee all internal staff request for tickets for: recruits, players, visiting team, etc.

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Oversee all full-time, part-time, temporary and game day employees for football and other selected intercollegiate sports to ensure that good customer service practices are being followed at all times.  ‎Interact frequently with donors, alumni, faculty, staff and students. These interactions involve good communications skills and making quick, intelligent decisions based on facts, experience and good judgment.‎ ‎Handle customer service problems encountered by staff when needed.  These include special requests from the Athletic Director or the John Purdue Club.‎ ‎Maintain consistent and on-going interaction with the general public to generate ticket sales for all ticket revenue sports.‎‎Facilitate open lines of communication with key constituency groups to ensure ticket needs are identified and met in a‎ timely manner.‎ ‎Establish and maintain a problem-solving, "customers first" philosophy within the Purdue Intercollegiate Athletics Ticket Office.‎ Create and maintain a positive, productive, professional, and service-oriented work environment within the ticket office.‎

 

SUPERVISION:

Supervise game day employees for football and other intercollegiate athletics sports.  Supervision and distribution of work to full-time and part-time clerical staff.‎ Assist in office management; set work schedules and authorize overtime based on office needs.  Ensure all ticket office personnel are knowledgeable of Purdue University, NCAA and Big Ten rules and regulations.  Assist in training and scheduling of new employees on computer, phone etiquette, athletic department information, ticket office information and ticket office equipment.‎ Provide on-going and consistent staff development opportunities for ticket office staff.‎ Hire, train and manage full-time clerical staff and intern positions, part-time positions and student positions.   Act in supervisory role for office in absence of the Director of Ticket Operations.

 

ANALYTICAL:  Create, analyze and distribute attendance and revenue reports for football and various sports.  Provide trend analysis for management based‎ on reports.  Offer suggestions to increase attendance.‎ Provide information and recommendations to Assistant Athletics Director, Ticket Operations regarding prices of tickets annually.‎ Other duties as assigned.
