
The Director will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of finance records, review and approval of transactions as well as financial reporting for Spartan Ventures and its related entities.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries for the general ledger as needed and process transactions for all subledgers on a regular basis.
Manage the business credit card program and review card transactions as well as requests for reimbursement.
Manage the vendor database and process invoices in accordance with internal procedures.
In coordination with the Financial Analyst, create invoices for receivables and review payments and deposits.
In coordination with the CFO, manage bank accounts and assist with bank reconciliations.
Reconcile accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and provide dashboard reports that include transaction level data.
Required Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting and financial management and reporting.
3-4 years’ accounting experience with a 501(c)3 organization or familiarity with 501(c)3 accounting principles through 3-4 years’ experience related to a 501(c)3 organization.
Bachelor’s Degree with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
Effective communication (oral, written and interpersonal) skills.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, communication skills, and desire & ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry.
