Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach/Assistant Game Day Operations

St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the 10-month position of Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach/Assistant Game Day Operations.  The annual salary for this position is $44,327.

Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the management of all phases of a highly competitive NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse program which includes recruitment of qualified student-athletes

  • Scheduling of contests; administration, organization, and evaluation of all aspects of the program

  • Adherence to all NCAA Division III, conference and institutional policies and procedures

Assistant Game Day Operations Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and breakdown of fields

  • Greeting officials and visiting teams

  • Escorting officials and visiting teams

  • Supervising student workers and crowd supervision

  • Other duties associated with game day operations and event support may be assigned as needed

Non-sectarian since its founding, St. Mary's College of Maryland, a public Carnegie Baccalaureate, Arts and Sciences institution located in Historic St. Mary's City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., has been designated as Maryland's public honors college.  Undergraduate and residential in nature, with a diverse coeducational student body numbering approximately 1600, St. Mary's emphasizes excellence in teaching.  The institution was awarded a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in 1997.  The quality of life is enhanced by the recreational opportunities of the Chesapeake region and close proximity to the amenities of Washington D.C., Baltimore and Richmond.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of NCAA and United East Conference rules and regulations. 

  • Experience in collegiate coaching is preferred.  Must possess a valid driver’s license. 

  • Ability to lift approximately thirty (30) pounds.

  • Ability to travel, work nights and weekends is required.

Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
