Assistant Athletics Trainer / SL-2

Description of Duties

The successful candidate will serve under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer and support the Athletic Training needs for SUNY Canton’s intercollegiate sports. This person will help oversee the evaluation and treatment of student-athletes for injuries, rehabilitation protocols, prevention programs, testing, and other athletic training procedures. 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive student athlete healthcare within scope of practice as directed by the supervising physician and indicated by SUNY Canton Sports Medicine Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, or related field.
• Current BOC certification, current NYS licensure, or eligible.
• Current CPR and AED certifications.
• This position will require ability to work evenings/weekends and some off campus travel with athletic teams as necessary.

Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
