
Responsibilities
Plans and organizes the details of the team, including skill teaching and development, practice organization, coaching, and player selection.
Evaluates individual performance and provides leadership and instruction in areas of deficiency as required.
Implements team discipline, decision making, and independent judgment.
Directs the work of student workers and volunteer assistant coaches.
Comply with institutional, Midwest Conference, University Athletic Association, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Serves on professional departmental committees.
Ensures student-athletes and athletic representatives are informed of and comply with NCAA and University rules and regulations.
Represent the University of Chicago in professional, alumni, and civic functions.
Performs recruitment of student-athletes.
Has a moderate/high level of authority to participate in staff meetings, individual planning meetings, and parent-student staffing.
Helps staff to plan and execute events.
Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree.
Experience:
Significant and relevant playing or teaching/coaching experience in Football at the professional, collegiate, or high school level.
Certifications:
Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Competencies
Familiarity with NCAA rules and Division III philosophy.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments concurrently.
Proficient in computer skills; Microsoft Office and other software.
Working Conditions
This role will perform many tasks outdoors.
Travel to various on and off-campus locations
Carry or lift loads and push/pull objects up to 25 lbs.
