ASSISTANT STUDENT-ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR - POST-GRADUATE INTERNSHIPS

• Support and facilitate student-athlete programming and education aligned with Illini Way’s core values of Unify, Develop, Inspire, and Achieve, with emphasis on personal, professional, leadership, community engagement, and inclusion-focused development initiatives.

• Engage with campus departments, faculty, staff, organizations, and community partners to implement programming and support community outreach initiatives for student-athletes.

• Monitor, document, and assist in assessing community outreach requests, activities, and student-athlete engagement.

• Assist in the delivery of RST 118 (Transition into College) through course logistics, classroom facilitation, student engagement, grading support as appropriate, and coordination with instructional staff.

• Assist with and execute Illini Way Student-Athlete Development storytelling, including website communication, social media strategy, marketing designs, and impact narratives.

• Support operational planning and execution for large-scale student-athlete development events, such as All Student-Athlete Welcome Back, Oskees, and Fighting Illini Networking Night, by assisting with logistics, coordination, communication, and on-site support.

• Support student-athlete leaders in their facilitation of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and community service events.

• Research industry tools, best practices, and emerging trends in student-athlete development to inform programming.
