  • Job Description

    Nevada Athletics is accepting applications for a Coordinator, A/V and Broadcasting.

     

    This position is responsible for operating, troubleshooting and maintaining video board, scoreboard, and complex audio sound equipment/systems as well as live event production and national TV broadcast elements related to activities in all athletic department venues. The position performs high level system evaluations and advanced calibrations/modifications and manage AV/IT inventory and work orders to procure equipment and other supplies. As new projects are approved, this position will assist in the installation and operation of new technology and systems. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director, A/V and IT Technology.

     

    Duties include:

    • Support national television broadcasts in Mackay Stadium, Lawlor Events Center and other ICA venues

    • Oversees and coordinates all RF frequencies for pregame, in game and post-game activates to mitigate interference issues.

    • Conducts system checks to ensure peripheral software/hardware is connecting and transmitting – Stat Crew, DV Sports, ref mics, etc

    • Provides media and audio-visual technical services for all ICA Conferencing & Events to ensure proper functioning, installation, setup, and utilization of media equipment and systems.

    • Conducts inventory on AV/IT equipment for ICA Conferencing & Events

    • Work directly with TV broadcast producers to identify and facilitate broadcast requirements

    • RF transmitter maintenance - IOT UHF transmitters, solid state VHF transmitters, solid state MF transmitters (AM radio), tube type VHF and MF transmitters. antennas, transmission line, high power filters, digital modulators, towers, tower lighting systems, backup generators

     

    Required Qualifications

    High School Graduation and four (4) years of related work experience; OR Associate’s Degree and three (3) years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
    Related Experience: Project management, TV broadcast, live event production, multimedia at events

      

    Schedule or Travel Requirements

    • Variable work schedule to include late nights, weekends and holidays

    Administrative Faculty – B

    Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees
