
Nevada Athletics is recruiting for a Director, Graphic Design. The Director, Graphic Design, is responsible for the creation of unique and innovative visual content for the department, including individual sports programs. This position designs, creates organizes and executes a variety of complex graphics content to market program appeal. This position oversees activities associated with graphic design and implements social media strategies for fan engagement and strategic communications.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Lead Nevada Athletics overall brand identity and style guide while collaborating with other departments within Nevada Athletics to leverage graphics to achieve their goals
Work in coordination with recruiting staffs, communications, digital, and fan engagement staffs to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner, assists in managing creative department workflow as needed
Apply knowledge of graphic design, photography, illustration, and the incorporation of video and multimedia elements into projects.
Update and maintain main athletics social media account
Create and distribute strategic planning calendar for graphics according to dates identified as significant for Nevada Athletics
Organize and catalog graphic elements in storage locations for ease of distribution and usage department-wide
Develop unique ways to communicate ideas that fall within our Athletics brand guidelines
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two years related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and one year work experience required
Related Experience: graphic or multimedia design
