This position is responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the Women’s Golf Program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Athletics Department and the University, including but not limited to coaching, teaching, recruiting, team travel, budget management, fund raising, and community relations. This position is required to adhere to all policies and procedures of the department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Big South Conference.

Required Education/Experience/Skills

This position requires possession of post baccalaureate credentials. May also consider a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent independent experience. A successful candidate will have collegiate golf experience as a coach, student-athlete, and/or professional level.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills

Two to four years of collegiate golf experience as a coach and/or professional level. Experience in golf tournament administration and/or operations. Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills. Also knowledge and adherence to compliance with University, Big South Conference and NCAA Division I rules and regulations is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to effectively coach and mentor students in assigned sport.

• Knowledge of successful recruitment cycles and best practices in a college or university setting.

• Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.

• Knowledge of the rules and regulations for playing and administration of assigned sport.
