Facility and Sports Turf Specialist

The University of Utah Athletics Department is seeking a Facility and Sports Turf Specialist to oversee the daily maintenance, operations, and care of America First Ballpark and associated athletic field and turf areas. This position will serve as the operational support staff member for synthetic turf management, field preparation, event support, and general facility upkeep for America First Ballpark.

This position will play a critical role in maintaining the safety, play-ability, appearance, and long-term performance of the ballpark’s synthetic turf system, including the playing field, bullpens, warning track areas, indoor batting cages, pitching mounds, and batting cage systems. In addition, this role will assist with the maintenance and care of additional grass, turf, landscape, and exterior athletics areas as assigned.

America First Ballpark is a premier collegiate baseball facility with significant year-round operational demands related to Utah Baseball activities, summer training usage, external rentals, camps, and community events. 

The Facility and Sports Turf Specialist will provide hands-on facility and field support to ensure the venue remains safe, functional, clean, recruit ready, and operationally prepared for student-athletes, coaches, staff, and community users.
