Head Women's Golf Coach

The Head Coach leads and manages all aspects of the NCAA Division I women’s golf program. Charged with developing a competitive women’s golf program while fostering a culture of academic excellence, leadership, and student-athlete development. Oversees recruiting, coaching, program administration, compliance, fundraising, and community engagement, ensuring alignment with NCAA, Conference, University, and Athletic Department policies. Plans and directs all women’s golf program activities, including training, competitions, and player development. Organizes, supervises, and employs sound coaching techniques and practices to prepare student-athletes for Conference Championships and post-season competitions.

Primary Duties

  • Effectively prepares golfers for each match and each season with dedication so as to assist the student-athletes to attain their maximum level of athletic performance and to successfully compete against major college competition.

  • Identifies, evaluates, scouts, recruits, and interviews prospective student-athletes and their parents/guardians in an effort to secure the best possible student-athletes for the Program and University.

  • Works in cooperation with and support of the University’s administrators and faculty to ensure the quality of a well-rounded student-athlete experience resulting in student athletes’ academic requirements being satisfied, leading to graduation. Be fair, sympathetic and protective of the student-athletes while upholding academic and moral integrity.

  • Participates in fundraising, alumni, public relations and media events as requested or deemed appropriate in an effort to improve relations, increase fundraising, and maintain a positive image of the Athletic Department and the University.

  • Other duties as assigned, which may include participation on National, University, or Athletic Department committees as assigned by the Athletic Director or designee.

  • Maintains complete knowledge of, and strict compliance with, the rules and regulations governing the sport, recruitment of student-athletes, and intercollegiate athletic competition. Supervises staff, including compliance by all staff, with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Three years of relevant coaching experience.

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in recruiting, training, coaching, evaluating, and supervising student-athletes to attain their maximum level of academic and athletic performance and to compete successfully against major college competition in a quality program.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Five years of relevant coaching experience at the college level.

  • Experience with immersive golf training systems.
